It's about 90 degrees, and Zachary has taken to chilling out in the bathtub when it's not in use.
This morning, with a friend, I walked to the market to get some produce. It's not too far from my house, but there's a hill involved... nonetheless it was fun to go. Usually, I drive, and feel guilty because it's really only about a mile from my house. But as we were walking back, I remembered the heat alert currently in effect and realized that I wouldn't have had to feel guilty today. Oh well, I undoubtedly needed the exercise. Anyway, I ended up with some little delicious-looking apples and sweet bing cherries - yum!
I am loving the new iMac. It is incredibly fast, and the screen is absolutely stunning. The speakers are pretty good, too! Overall, I'm a very happy convert and can see myself buying a Macbook someday.
I'm near completion on Barbara Walters' fascinating memoir. It's so, so interesting to hear about the long road she went down to become the extremely well-respected TV journalist she is. I wish, after finishing it, that I could read the whole thing over - and I think I would! - except it's due back at the library on Monday. Perhaps I'll just buy my own copy soon.
Sorry this post is so boring, just wanted to check in. The job stinks, but I'm looking for another one. I'm trying to just send resumes all over the place.
Damn, these cherries are good. :)
