Marketplace, a National Public Radio program that airs on the weekend as Marketplace Money, did a very interesting show today called "Who Can You Trust?"
The whole show was really good but I thought the best segment was an interview with the author Margaret Atwood (left). Atwood, a Canadian born near the end of the Great Depression, is a poet and novelist. Along with many other books, she is the author of The Handmaid's Tale and The Blind Assassin. Recently she wrote Payback: Debt and the Shadow Side of Wealth. She was interviewed for Marketplace by Tess Vigeland.
Here is a link to the interview page. I recommend listening to the extended interview audio.

I do so love Margaret Atwood. She used to be the avant-garde Canadian writer, and now she's becoming the voice of common sense.
